Overseas Pakistani Summer Scholar Programme 2026, a youth-ki-Uraan initiative of the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan. The programme was launched in 2025 under the leadership of the Honorable Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal, to engage young overseas Pakistanis in the Pakistan’s development and policy landscape.

The programme targets overseas Pakistanis students enrolled at leading international universities and offers them direct exposure to Pakistan policy, governance and public sector ecosystem. Through meaningful assignments and institutional engagement, it connects young Pakistani talent abroad with the country’s national development and reform agenda.

Following the successful completion of the last year’s programme, which received over 2,300 applications and selected 35 candidates, the Ministry of Planning, Development & special Initiatives is hosting the second batch this year.
