The Ambassador received a business delegation led by Mr. Oleg Chesalov, Deputy Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus. Mr. Dmitry Dashkevich, Mr. Albin Mironovich and Mr. Dmitry Lasitsa, businessmen representing the construction, agriculture & heavy machinery and textile sectors respectively also attended the meeting, which was arranged by Mr. Zamad Khan, a Belarusian national of Pakistan origin.
The Ambassador briefed the members on Pak-Belarus bilateral relations and latest developments in diverse areas of engagements. He particularly highlighted Pakistan’s strengths as a burgeoning market of more than 220 million and geographical advantage making it an ideal destination for trade and investment.
Subsequently, the delegation was given a tour of the “Emerging Pakistan Display Centre” that has been established by the Mission, for a firsthand introduction with the range of Pakistani exportable products including textiles, home textiles, rice, surgical instruments, sports products, cutlery, salt, brass items and spices among multiple others. They were also acquainted with the rich Pakistani culture, national heritage and tourism potential by a walk around tour of the gallery having pictorial depictions about Pakistan.
