On 1 June, coinciding with the International Children’s Day, Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan attended an event.
On 1 June, coinciding with the International Children’s Day, the Belarusian State Academic Theater of Young Audience in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UN Children’s Fund hosted a charity event and performance “The Canterville Ghost” for foster children of orphanages, including institutions with children with special needs.
Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan attended the event along with other heads and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Belarus. During the reception, the Ambassador also had a short interaction with the Foreign Minister and the First Deputy Foreign Minister.
The Embassy participated in the children’s buffet “Sweets of the Peoples of the World”, whereby select Pakistani dishes were presented to the children.
Speaking to the guests, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makey stressed that in Belarus, in practice, significant attention is paid to ensuring and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of the younger generation. He highlighted the importance of the understanding that happy, healthy, educated, and active children are a strategic resource and the key to sustainable development and welfare of the state.
