Embassy of Pakistan in Minsk Observes Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir

The Embassy of Pakistan in Minsk observed Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir today, marking the fifth anniversary of the revocation of the special status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) by India. The event took place at the Embassy premises and was attended by members of the Pakistani community as well as Belarusian friends.
During the event, the Ambassador briefed the participants on the worsening human rights situation in IIOJK since August 5, 2019, underscoring Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The DHM delivered a presentation highlighting the escalating violations and the severe hardships faced by the Kashmiri people, emphasizing the urgent need for international awareness and intervention. Messages by the leadership of Pakistan were also read out, highlighting the nation’s stance and solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Additionally, a short documentary was screened, offering a visual representation of the issues faced by the region.
The event also featured a photo exhibition, showcasing poignant images that captured the struggles and resilience of the people of IIOJK. Guests had the opportunity to view these powerful photographs and reflect on the importance of the day.
