On September 20, Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus, Sajjad Haider Khan, visited the Gomel State Medical University and held talks with the Rector and senior management of the university. The two sides discussed ways and means to broaden educational collaborations. Presently 19 Pakistani students are enrolled at this university.

Highlighting the significance of this visit, Ambassador Khan inaugurated the Pakistan Cultural Centre on the university campus dedicated to fostering a greater understanding of Pakistan’s rich heritage, traditions, and values.

During his visit, Ambassador Khan also had the privilege of meeting with Pakistani students currently pursuing their studies at the university. He provided them with words of encouragement and inspiration, urging them to maintain their dedication to both academic pursuits and extracurricular activities for comprehensive personal growth. He assured them of the Embassy’s support.
