Successful Conclusion of Mogilev International Economic Forum 2024
Mogilev International Economic Forum, also known as the “Mill of Success,” successfully concluded today, attracting over 300 delegates, including government officials, industry leaders, investors, and representatives from various sectors. Organized alongside the International Cooperation Forum on Import Substitution, the event saw participation from SCO member state delegations, including China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Pakistan, among others.
Addressing the plenary session of the forum, Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan highlighted the potential for Pakistan-Belarus cooperation, emphasizing the SCO’s significance, which represents 40% of the global population and 30% of the world’s GDP. His speech underscored Pakistan’s commitment to the SCO and the vast opportunities for trade, investment, and cooperation within the SCO framework.
He also referenced the successful conclusion of the SCO Council of Heads of Government (CHG) Meeting held in Islamabad on October 15-16, 2024. The summit, chaired by Pakistan, saw participation from several Heads of Government, including the Prime Minister of Belarus, highlighting the commitment to regional integration and collaboration.
The forum showcased production and investment projects in Mogilev, focusing on trade, economic, and industrial cooperation. The import substitution forum aimed at finding alternative suppliers for products, enhancing ties between SCO country manufacturers and consumers.
The Mogilev Economic Forum provided a platform for fruitful discussions and networking, paving the way for future collaborations and economic growth.
Participants expressed optimism about enhancing economic ties and creating new opportunities for businesses and investors in Mogilev.
