From 24-26 July, the Embassy facilitated a series of trade-related meetings of Mr. Shaukat Hayat Cheema, Minister (Trade and Investment) of the Embassy of Pakistan in Moscow, concurrently accredited to the Republic of Belarus.
On 24 July, a meeting was held with Mr. Evgeny Russak, Deputy Director General of the National Center for Marketing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
On 25 July, Mr. Cheema held a meeting with Mr. Aliaksandr Halavarou, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to discuss ways to promote trade and investment between Pakistan and Belarus. The meeting was followed by a visit to the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange where a meeting with Ms. Irina Narkevich, Vice Chairwoman, was held.
On 26 July, Minister (Trade and Investment) also met with Mr. Dzmitry Vychov, Head of Marketing and Sales Department of Grodno Azot, to discuss trade-related opportunities.
These meetings were aimed at exploring opportunities for Pakistani companies to export their goods and services to Belarus and vice versa. The Embassy of Pakistan in Minsk remains committed to continuing its efforts in promoting trade and investment between the two countries.
