The Ambassador visited Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU) and held detailed discussions with honourable Rector of the University Professor Ihar Voitau and First Vice Rector Dr. Aliaksandr Tsyhanau. The meeting was also attended by Ms Olga Rogova, Head of International Relations office and Ms Elena Yanukovich, Head of International Students office. With over 1400 students, BSTU is one of the best Belarusian universities, which was established in 1930, as of now with over 500 patented products. It has already signed MOUs with several Pakistani universities including NUST, NUML, QA university and UET Lahore.
The two sides exchanged views on diverse topics of collaboration including students exchange, possibility of holding summer school for Pakistani students, joint research programmes and faculty exchange. It was agreed to hold a virtual conference during spring season between BSTU and universities in Pakistan to further deepen cooperation.
