Ms Marina Laikova, a Belarusian poet, writer and head of literary department at Borisov Children Art & Youth Creativity Centre, and a member of Belarusian Writer’s Union accompanied by Mr. Ivan Laikov, poet, critic, editor of the Prose Department of the newspaper “Literature and Art” visited the Embassy today at the invitation of the Ambassador.
The two sides held in depth discussions of furthering collaboration between poets, writers and artistes of the two countries. Mr. Ivan offered to translate an Urdu poetry book and publish Urdu poetry with Belarusian translations in the local newspapers. The Ambassador also agreed to visit the Children’s Centre for interaction with the students besides arranging a virtual poetry recitation/interaction of a Pakistani poet with the students.
