Visit to Mogotex Textiles
On the second day of his tour to Mogilev region, the Ambassador visited JSC “Mogotex”, largest manufacturer of textile products in the Republic of Belarus, a recognized leader in the market of Russia as well as countries of near and far abroad.
Director General Victor Matievich briefed about the operations of the company which has three factories covering weaving, finishing and sewing. Established in 1973, the company employees over 3000 staff and exports over Euro 50 million worth of textile products particularly home textile products i.e curtains, table covers and a wide range of fabrics for uniforms to foreign buyers including IKEA.
Highlighting the strengths of the textile sector of Pakistan, the Ambassador invited the Belarusian textile company to participate in one of the trade exhibitions held in Pakistan to explore further opportunities. During the interactions, the Belarusian textile company showed interest in importing raw materials from Pakistan required for production of home textile.
